Shelby

Frosted fingers,

life-less lips, and frozen toes.

The land is cold.

The trees are bare.

Winter is here

and she is there,

frozen and yet to be found.

*This poem is dedicated to Shelby. A young woman found murdered in the woods in upstate NY. Her body was only discovered after the snow melted. Detectives suspect she was murdered sometime in December. The heavy snow fall covered her remains. She was from Schenectady, NY. Her murder remains unsolved til this day.
